"L" Street Beach, South Boston MA
The quickest, easiest way to get to the beach is to take the Mass Pike Eastbound to exit #25 (South Boston). Stay to the left on the exit and follow the sign towards Seaport Blvd. At the light, take a right onto Congress Street. Go through another intersection, pass Seaport Hotel on your left and then the MBTA Silver Line on your right. Once past the MBTA parking lot you will come to a light which is D Street.
Take a right onto D Street. You will go through a quick light and then come to a major 4-way intersection which is Summer Street.
Take a left onto Summer Street at the light (cruise ship government bldg will be on your right after you turn)
Follow Summer Street, becomes L Street. Keep going straight until you come to the beach L Street Building in front of you where you can only turn left or right.
Take a right onto Day Blvd, follow road along the beach and stay left when you get to a fork in the road. You will pass Carson Beach approximately .5 mile ahead, keep going and the "L" Street bath house will be on your right.
